Tipu
Sultan is a prominent character in Indian
history. The fort was constructed in the
latter half of the eighteenth century. The
Tipu Sultan Fort in Bangalore has a double
storeyed structure. There are a lot of beautiful
wooden carvings of great artistic value
here. There is a museum in the fort which
has some important collection of artifacts.
The For was originally constructed by Kempe
Gowda which was later expanded by Tipu.
The Tipu Sultan Fort in Palakkad in Kerala
is also equally famous. It s in the heart
of Palakkad town and has a lot of historical
significance. It is one of the important
monuments protected by the Archaeological
survey of India.
