The
Rock Fort temple is located in Tiruchirapalli
in Tamilnadu. The Rock For temple consists
of three temples. These are the Manikka
Vinayakar Temple, The Uchhi Pillayar Koil
and the Taayumaanavar Koil Sivasthalam.
The hill temple complex has a series of
rock cut temples all of great religious
significance. There are also excavated cave
temples here. A lot of devotees come here
during festivals and otherwise. The famous
festivals in the temples are Brahmotsavam
and Aadi Pooram. The main deities are of
course Ganesha and Siva. The Rock Fort Temple
is not only a place of worship but also
a piece of artistic excellence.
