Lumbini festival

 
Lumbini festival is celebrated in Nagarjuna Sagar in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. As the name suggests the Lumbini Festival is celebrated to mark the Buddhist Heritage of Hyderabad. The festival is organized by the Department of Tourism of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The Lumbini Festival starts on the second Friday of December and goes on for three days. This festival attracts a lot of devotees and tourists alike. The festival is considered as an excellent opportunity to discover and learn about the past heritage of the place.
