Idukki Wildlife Sanctuary

 
The Idukki district of Kerala is significant in that it is very fertile. All kinds flora and hence fauna can be found he owing to the richness of the soil and the availability of plenty of rainfall. The Idukki wildlife sanctuary is adjacent to the world famous Idukki Arch dam. The sanctuary lies between two famous rivers of Kerala namely the Periyar River and the Cheruthoni River and is gifted with an abundance of vegetation. Animals like Elephant, bison, sambar deer, wild dog, jungle cat, tiger, and wild boar are common features here.
